Chemistry Pairs
Chemistry pairs is a matching pairs game with a difference, in that all of the pairs are chemical structures. The molecules I chose to include in this game are familiar to everyone, such as caffiene, paracetamol and sucrose. I also included molecules with similar structures like propane and iso-propanol to try and emphasise how small differences in molecular structure can result in large differences in properties. Eg. propane is a gas used for cooking and iso-propanol is a liquid commonly used for cleaning.
One the player has found a pair, if they hover over the image of the molecule will change to display the name of the molecule, and if clicked the card takes the user to a Wikipedia page of the molecule, so they can learn more.
I made the game using React.js. Enjoy!
